Panda Now Part of the Core Ranking Algorithm

Panda, which measures quality (many call it the spam filter), is now part of Google's core ranking algorithm. There is no mention of it being real time, but it is now part of the core algorithm.

    Google spokesperson:
"Panda is an algorithm that’s applied to sites overall and has become one of our core ranking signals. It measures the quality of a site, which you can read more about in our guidelines. Panda allows Google to take quality into account and adjust ranking accordingly."

One more black and white animal to go it appears... unlike in nature, Penguin appears to be the bigger one.

Turns out this isn't so black and white after all: http://searchengineland.com/seos-confused-puzzled-after-googles-mystery-update-240141

We hardly even know what it means for Panda to be part of the core algorithm.

    Yeah. I read that also.

So - it is MORE real-time than before, but not exactly real real-time.... At least that's the best I got from Google's Hang-Out.
