Firefox

Firefox: Firefox is a free, open-source web browser. In February 2014, research showed that Firefox drew between 12% and 44% of the world's total search usage, making it the third most popular search browser in the world. The Mozilla Corporation, which owns Firefox, reports that it has over 450 million users worldwide. While it is relatively successful in the United States, the browser is especially popular in Indonesia, Iran, Germany, and Poland.

Firefox was created in 2002 as part of the Mozilla project by Dave Hyatt, Joe Hewitt and Blake Ross, three software programmers and engineers who wanted to prevent Mozilla software from growing slower. To accomplish this, they created a browser that eventually replaced the company's default program, Mozilla Suite. In the years since its release, Firefox has become known for its speed, usability, and various functions, including a download manager. In response to its popularity, it has been adapted for mobile usage and can be used on a number of operating systems. However, the web browser is currently facing a significant amount of competition from Google Chrome and other programs.
