Yahoo Introduced CPL ads (Cost-Per-Lead)

I saw that Yahoo! introduced a new ad format (1st under Marissa Mayer) similar to the Google Cost-Per-Lead ads.

Is this the 1st step to greater things for Yahoo!?

It will be interesting to find out in the next couple of years how much ground they can make up in a business dominated by Google.
