So, I was thinking recently with all the talks of jobs in America and preventing outsourcing, how we could use this to our advantage with regards to internet marketing? I ran a test to try creating adcopy for HubShout and tested this angle. To my surprise I saw a huge increase in click through rate on paid search ads. It looks like people are pretty interested/engaged in keeping services from going abroad.

Anyone else know of any success stories from this angle? (Doesn't even have to do with paid search, but site copy or other marketing collateral as well.)

If not it might be worth discussing!

SEO made in USA - Nice Dave! Leveraging that aspect of our offerings would be a powerful advantage vs. off-shore outfits.

I have been kicking around a way to incorporate that into our website reseller marketing strategy too.

Awesome idea and testing Dave.

there are really two aspects to this approach:

1. "made in the USA"/keeping jobs here at home/bolstering the economy. 2. avoiding/preventing the bounceback and frustration from outsourced services. Consumers are super frustrated by outsourced CS and content creation, and it's just not worth the cost savings anymore.

Plus communication breakdowns are also problematic I am sure.
