USD to Euro in Sales Proposal tool
When I was demonstrating our new sales proposal tool to one of my resellers from the UK, they had some interesting feedback. Would it be possible to have Euro currency displayed instead of US Dollars? I know this has been brought up in the past with our web grader feature, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask for him.
Your thoughts please?
Thanks for the suggestion. It has been requested before. But it's not an easy change. It's certainly on the list for consideration for future releases.
Oh damn, I just watched the webinar for this yesterday and completely missed this point.
For us it's made the tool useless overnight to be honest, I really can't be sending proposals to my clients that are not in the local currency and don't include the local sales tax. We are $ anyway so I can at least hack that bit, but sales tax would be essential for us.
Really brings us back to needing an option to export them really unless International customers are going to be supported properly?
Same here, I am a UK reseller and I think the sales proposal tool is GREAT and would increase lead conversion significantly. However, we cannot use it at all, until we can display prices in £.
Do you guys have any idea when you would be able to include this in a new release?
Can we just have a drop down option for example that would allow us, international resellers, to at least change the currency sign? I don't think that would be difficult to add under the edit section of the Investment Tab. We change the customer price manually anyway, so I cannot see why we shouldn't be able to change the currency sign there.
That's a fairly easy request. Some of the other threads and requests have been about us actually doing the conversion automatically - which is much more difficult.
I'm glad to hear that my reqest is fairly easy. I think international resellers can use reliable currency converters (e.g. www.oanda.com) since we need to manually enter the figures and we can change it anytime depending on the client or campaign. So, having a dropdown with the main currency signs (e.g. $,€, £) we can select the relevant one and update the fees that we charge our clients for manually and save the proposal template. Once the prospect logs in to the platform he/she will only see the figure we charge them in the currency we select. Very easy and it allows us to be flexible in case we would like to work with clients in different countries. Adam, would you be able to confirm by when you guys think this dropdown can be added? Thanks!
Yes, we will give you a date shortly. But first, a few more questions.
What about the Traffic Value section of the SEO Tab in the proposal? As you know, that data comes back from SEMRush. Converting that to another currency is NOT easy... Will you just leave that out, or is it okay to show that in $$?
Thanks for your replay. I think we can add an asterix and a one-liner under the traffic value box that says something like: Our API/Dashboard uses SEMRush, a market leader is SEM and competitor research. SEMRush is a US based company hence we display traffic values in USD$(just like Google AdWords - I'm not too sure if you can change the currency option there but I had the impression it is in USD only)In case the prospect would like to have the numbers in local currency he/she or us can easily convert it. I don't think that would be a huge issue but would be great to be able to change it one day. I think the bigger issue here is to be able to show them how much would we charge them in local currency which we could do by using the suggested dropdown option in my email above. What do other resellers think about these ideas? Adam, I look forward to hearing back from you and thanks again for your feedback!
Very cool. This makes the feature quite manageable. I'll review it with our product team here and try to get it approved for quick release (at which point I'll have a date for you). It is being tracked as Feature Request 1538870.
That's great, Adam! I look forward to seeing this take place in the future!
