Reseller Sales

Thoughts for white label mobile marketing?

  • James Reply

As Hubshout has now engaged other things such as email marketing to engage and retain our clients, I want to suggest mobile marketing.

I have run into more than a few people in my community who are actively exploring mobile marketing for there advertisement options. I started to look into this as something else I can offer so that I can satisfy my clients more.

I find that there are many options out there, some give you your own short code, others offer a main shortcode that all there resellers utilize.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

    James,

I believe you are very wise to realize this! I mean, look around and you see just about Everyone on their mobile phone, holding it, or within their grasp. This is my gym time & I happen to be doing cardio at this moment - on my iPhone. Being new to HubShout, but not new to mobile marketing, I had to at least post a reply! I actually have researched and have worked with among the best.
I would love to give more feedback later if you & HubShout would be interested.
I want to finish my cardio AND make sure this will post!

We certainly agree that mobile is an emerging market and it is definitely on our radar... That being said, people were saying things like "SEO is dead, everything is mobile" as far back as 3 or 4 years ago... The reality is that things don't move as fast as people like to say.... But there is no doubt we are moving into mobile.

There are a few things in HubShout Labs already for mobile... I know Chris W and Chad have been working on a mobile-ready website template for WordPress with the idea of cheap deployment in a hurry... Again, this is in our lab currently. I've also been working on phone extensions to mobile devices with the idea that we *might* offer full phone service to our resellers with an App on a mobile device for sales and customer service calls. Again - this is all in our lab currently... But just wanted you to know we are not just "thinking" or "talking" - we have actually R&D on mobile happening right now...

The key thing here is that you mentioned "advertising." Most of our PPC clients are running mobile ads, so we are already doing it through our ppc advertising programs. There are some special networks for in-app advertising but we think the intent is low (just like the issue you have with intent with display advertising in general).

Mobile is really just an access point, so all of our services are being expanded to adapt to this new access point.

SEO -- Yep... People use google on their phone. Those results are currently not different than traditional search (just a different UI). Adwords has been talking about giving preferential treatment to advertisers with mobile websites. My guess is that this might soon also apply to traditional search. As Adam said, we are working on some mobile optimized landing pages that would auto detect a mobile user.

PPC - Also yes. We are running mobile campaigns either to mobile websites or doing call-only campaigns.

So, James is mobile a new advertising campaign or are we just adapting our current campaigns to be more mobile friendly? I'm curious to hear your input.

I should add, however, that while the products could be similar... the marketing could be very different but I hope we aren't headed for businesses having their "desktop seo company" and their "mobile seo company." That will be a real mess!

It has been a while since anyone has posted on this topic but it looks like HubShout is ready to grab those SEM ready Mobile businesses. I think this is showing the growth and dedication of such a growing diverse company who's about it's resellers and the growing trends of SEO. Great Job guys.
