I love the look of the UI in the screenshots, I wish the AdWords Editor was that pretty.

Like it or Hate it, these changes are coming. Will be interesting to get our hands dirty and utilize the new enhanced campaigns when the legacy ones get pushed over.

This looks like it should be an improvement in tracking and targeting ads. I'm no expert in PPC but it seems like more control is usually/always a good thing

I agree. I was only last year that Google was recommending to make a copy of every campaign so that you could better control mobile. My guess is that most people just didn't have the time. Google is trying to make it easier to target the high growth mobile searches. I'm sure it will be difficult for people who want super precise control but this will help the "normal" advertiser.
