"Power Searching with Google …a short course on becoming a great internet searcher"

The course is free and will consist of 6 50-minute classes. They will be utilizing hangouts (just like Chad and Adam) and other interactive tools.

If you pass the course, you even get a certificate.

This is very interesting, although I honestly can't see too many people wanting to sit through 6 50-minute classes! That seems like a lot of time to dedicate just to learn some internet searching tips.

Dionne, that's what most of the comments on the articles written about this say too. That's a lot of time! I'll be interested to see what the attendance is like after they have the courses.

Honestly I could see most of the audience being people who work in the Internet Marketing field, and less of the general public. I'm definitely interested to see what the attendance looks like as well.

Me too. I think it might be mostly people from the industry trying to get a better idea of how Google is training people to search. Very interesting.

Five hours of content in this age of short attention spans? Oh my. Yes, will be a lot of industry folk.

I really don't see how this will effective for normal, everyday searchers (that is who they're targeting right????). I'm really not sure how many people (outside of "industry folk") will actually find this useful... or have the time...

Matt you will have to tell us what you think after you take the course. I'm curious to know what they cover, but not curious enough to enroll and sit through the 5 hours of content!
